These days, more and more people are choosing to tie the knot in places that used to be seen as inappropriate for such an event. Places like underwater, in the air and on the beach are now some of the prime areas for tying the knot on. One of the questions people then end up asking when the venue for a wedding is someplace like the beach is what beach wedding attire is appropriate for them to wear. Here are some suggestions you may want to try:

• You may have to base your choice on what the invitation says. If, for example, the invitation says that the attire for such an occasion should be Hawaiian, then try to look for clothes that are rather reminiscent of Hawaii. Don’t go for those loud shirts or sack-like muu-muus however and try to go for clothes with an island flavor to them but in a tasteful light.
• Light colored clothing and light fabrics may be the call of the day for such an event. Usually, beach weddings are rather casual events that require you to wear flat footwear since these happen on sandy environs. This means you will need to pair your flats with appropriate clothes. One suggestion for women would be sarong type, light colored dresses or long flowing dresses in light floral motifs with spaghetti straps or halter necks.
• What you wear to a beach wedding should always follow what the invitation dictates. For example, if the wedding says the beach wedding attire you wear should be a bit informal, don’t go in board shorts and flip flops but rather go in a tasteful pair of beach slacks and a loose, light colored button down shirt.
