In the United States, the average cost for facelift cosmetic surgery ranges from $6,000 to $15,000; anesthesia ranges from $1,000 to $1,300; and facility or hospital fee ranges from $500 to $2,000. These costs exclude the fee for the surgeon. Patients and interested individuals should also be aware of hidden fees. Some clinics advertise lower costs because they do not include other costs for the procedure including the pre- and post-operative exams, anesthesia, and corrective surgery. Most advertised costs are only for the actual cost of the procedure. The costs in the United States are mostly uniformed from state to state; however, in the New York area, costs are about 50% higher that the prices of other states.

The important thing for patients and individuals to remember is to be certain to ask if the plastic surgery cost already includes everything, that is, from the pre-operative to post-operative exams. It is inevitable that clinics only disclose the fee of the surgeon, which is about 60% to 80% of the total cost.
